English: About Kunsten ’92

With members from all disciplines, Kunsten ’92 is the association representing the interests of the entire artistic, cultural and heritage sector in the Netherlands. With one voice, we want to improve the social and political climate for arts and culture. Our most important aim is a robust culture sector.

Kunsten ’92 attempts to achieve its aims by presenting research, evidence and informed opinion and by organising debates. By following cultural policy critically and focussing attention on good practice as well as problem areas. We do that by making sure that important subjects are addressed, for example Agenda 2020, and by entering into dialogue with politicians and decision makers. For our members and other stakeholders we offer a platform for networking, for acquiring and sharing knowledge and learning from each other and for gaining new insights.

We cooperate with strategic partners such as the Boekman Foundation, Instituut Fondsenwerving, ACI, industry associations, European Cultural Foundation and funding and advisory bodies. “Erfgoedplatform” and the “Werkgroep Makers” have come into being via Kunsten ’92.
